The thickness of the small battens is 1.2cm. The thickness at the central point is 3cm.

To prevent stains from sticking, you can oil your tray, with teak oil for example.
If your tray is already stained or starting to show signs of damage, you can sand it down and apply another coat of oil to bring it back to its original state.
